Autumn Activities: Make Every Step Count

One of the easiest ways to get physically active is to incorporate walking into yourdaily routine. With the fall season in full swing, there are many ways you can incorporate walking into fun and festive autumn activities.

Some outdoor activities you may want to consider:

  • Dedicate a day to exploring the outdoors – Gather friends and family and go for a walk, run or hike outdoors. Local forests and parks are a great place to catch the leaves changing colours and squirrels searching for acorns as they prepare for the winter ahead.
  • Visit a farm Celebrate the autumn season in Ontario with a visit to one of this province’s beautiful farms. Activities such as apple picking, corn mazes and petting zoos are both entertaining and active for all ages.
  • Trail blaze - Enjoy a change of scenery by trekking one of Ontario’s picturesque trails, a perfect backdrop for a fall family portrait or a personal photography project.
  • Tour a winery Leisurely stroll through one of Ontario’s 100 scenic wineries, where you can enjoy the country air, wild nature and vivid landscape that wine country has to offer.
  • Switch it upInstead of visiting your regular coffee spot, choose a new café a few blocks away. Grab some friends and run, jog or walk to enjoy some of your favourite fall inspired treats.
