This week’s entry is from MS Society staff member Scott.M.
The 2013
Woodbridge-Vaughan Mandarin MS Walk was held on Sunday, May 5 and was a huge
success! Moving Mountains for MS made
their team debut with an astonishing 252 participants, helping the event
surpass its 2012 participant totals with 472 walkers raising an outstanding $81,000
in 2013.
After a fabulous
opening ceremony that included speeches from Mayor Bevilacqua, Rogers TV’s
Erica Natividad and a warm up led by Bodies by Design, participants enjoyed a
sunny walk through the streets of Woodbridge. Upon their return, pizza and hot
dogs were served and prizes were raffled off to lucky participants.
The proceeds from the Mandarin
MS Walk will support research and services for people living with MS within the
Woodbridge and Vaughan communities. Thanks to all participants and donors, your
contributions will go a long way in the fight to end MS!
Check back next week for our Walk Diary from the Markham-Stouffville
Mandarin MS Walk!
