Make Fitness a Priority

With colder weather moving in it may be tempting to hibernate. Fight the urge, and instead, make fitness a priority!

In the past, we have written about the benefits of physical activity, like walking, to your overall health and quality of life. So, while you may find it easier to get motivated during the summer, it’s important to stay physically active, even once the colder weather hits.

Swimming, gentle yoga, light aerobics and walking are a few of the many low-impact exercises that can be done indoors. Start by finding out what’s available near you. Try checking out local community and fitness centres to determine what facilities they offer. Or, you may choose to enjoy some of these activities in the comfort of your own home.

Regardless, don’t let the cold weather get you down. Find and stick with a regular fitness program that’s right for you!
