Walk Diary: Toronto Mandarin MS Walk

MS Society staff member Katelyn V. was proud to lead the Toronto Mandarin MS Walk. Read her account of this year’s event below.

For the first time in years, participants were able to enjoy a beautiful sunny day at our new location. More than 1500 people laced up for the 2013 Toronto Mandarin MS Walk on Sunday, May 5 at Downsview Park. Individuals and teams made up of friends, family and coworkers from all across the GTA helped raise nearly $541,000 to support programs and services for local people with MS.

We were proud to welcome Janice Golding from CTV who emceed our event with great spirit! Participants also watched an inspiring video and listened to a speech from our CEO Yves Savoie who thanked participants for coming to the walk and helping fight to end MS!
