The Life of a Volunteer Coordinator for the MS Society…

When presented with the opportunity to blog for the MS Society, I was thrilled! I get to share my thoughts and experiences with the very volunteers that play a key part in this organization.

So, where does one start - perhaps the beginning.

I came to the MS Society of Canada in mid-November and was excited to get started! My job consists of recruiting all the volunteers for the MS Walk Toronto, the Rona Bike Tours, LOM Gala, MS Carnation Campaign and to recruit the Read-A-Thon Guest Speakers.

The best part of my job is meeting all the volunteers. It’s amazing how many volunteers have been involved with the MS Society. I think what’s even more fascinating is the number of years volunteers have committed to the organization. Volunteers definitely have the best stories to tell!

Whether you’re a participant or a volunteer, Thank you for being part of that step towards finding a cure; big or small we’re one step closer thanks to you.

Cheers,
Clarinda
